Race Field

What is Race Field? Race Field is name I've given to a location, a place I've adopted as part of my personal Citizen Science project. I've adopted two locations to monitor weekly for at least a year. What does it mean to "adopt" a place? So far, it means I'll go there and photograph what I see then write about notable items here in my nature blog.

I selected Race Field because it is a typical open West Texas field. I've given its name as a short hand; it's behind the horse race track on W. University Blvd, at the very western edge of West Odessa.
